What is the difference between tapered (.355) and parallel (.370) tip shafts?
The only difference between a tapered (.355) and parallel (.370) tip shaft will be the tip diameter. Golf manufacturers will create various golf heads that are both .355 and .370 in hosel diameter, and golf shafts are created to accommodate the different hosel sizes. There will be no performance differences between the two.
What is the difference between straight/single/double bend putter shafts?
The shaft of a putter can come in different shapes. A straight shaft has no bend and is good for players who putt straight. A single bend shaft has a small bend near the clubhead, which helps with aiming and creates a slight curve in the putting motion. A double bend shaft has two bends and is good for players who like a bigger curve in their putting motion. The choice depends on how a player putts and what feels comfortable to them.

Does KBS offer replacement shaft labels?
Yes we do! Please contact support@kbsgolfshafts.com with your shaft type & flex and we will ship a replacement set of shaft labels to you. Our replacement shaft labels cost $15 and will come in a set of 10 labels.

If I order shafts online, will I need to trim them once they’re delivered to me?
Our (.370) Parallel Shafts are a single length shaft that will be Tip Trimmed & Butt Cut to length. Trimming CAN change how the shaft will play. 3-PW will be 8 pcs. Our (.355) Taper shafts are a raw length numbered shaft that will only need to be Butt Cut to length. For more information, please review our Trimming Instructions here.
Does KBS provide in-person fitting services?
Yes! Our fitting retail shop, The KBS Golf Experience, is located in Carlsbad, CA and partners with all major OEMs. If you would like to schedule an in-person fitting, please visit the website for our retail store here.
Do I need a specific index to get fit?
Although you do not need a specific index to get fit, we recommend that golfers are able to consistently hit the ball in the air before getting fit. If a golfer is unable to make consistent contact with the golf ball, our Master Club Fitter will not be able to recommend the most correct shaft for them to improve their golf game.

I just bought a set of clubs but I want to play KBS Shafts. What should I do?
Retrobuild is a great option to truly customize your purchase. Once you’ve placed a retrobuild order, a KBS Build Master will call you to review your order and request that you ship your clubs to us. If I place a retrobuild order, how long does the process take?
Our standard turnaround time is 7-10 days (subject to availability) from the day all components (club heads, shafts, grips) are physically in our build shop to begin the club-building process. This does not include return shipping time.
